Twenty years ago, on April 30, 2006, Bruce Springsteen stood on a stage at Jazz Fest after Katrina and delivered a powerful performance.

Fans from New Jersey and all around the world greeted Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band with a packed house at the Prudential Center Monday night. The Newark show marks the seventh stop on the tour, which kicked off in Minneapolis on March 31.

Springsteen and the E Street Band, with special guest Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, tore through 27 songs in three hours on stage with songs of protest and prayer and hope and dreams.

Bruce Springsteen's second Kia Forum show on his 2026 tour was special as one of his classic songs was cut from the setlist for a deep cut.

A critic from a large New Jersey outlet gave the state's rock hero a savage thumbs-down for the protest performance he brought to town.
